Founding Community & Content Lead
Come build the fandom for a new kind of story.
We're building AI-native fiction with the emotional pull of a K-drama, the worldbuilding of a manhwa, and the energy of an anime fandom. We're small, moving fast, and about to put our first product in front of real users.
We're looking for our founding community and content person: someone who lives in this culture, not just markets to it, to build our earliest community from zero, turn scattered fandom energy into a tight playtest cohort, and be the daily bridge between our users and what we build next.
This is a founding-team role. You'll write the playbook, not inherit one.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Stand up and run our home base (Discord / WhatsApp / Instagram / Reddit, wherever our fans are). Set the culture and rituals, find and elevate superfans, keep it alive and human.
- The build-with-users loop
Recruit our first few hundred genre-native playtesters, run weekly sessions, and turn raw user reactions into actionable product feedback the founder can act on that same week. This is the most important part of the job.
Own our voice across Instagram, short-form (Reels / Shorts / TikTok) and in-app. Make fast, native, of-the-internet content that a K-drama / manhwa fan would actually share. You'll likely shoot and edit much of this yourself, and work with the founder to show up as a compelling voice in the space.
Design UGC and referral loops, seed with micro-creators in the anime / webtoon / K-drama space, and create launch moments. Measure what matters (activated users, retained users, stories created), not follower counts.
YOUR FIRST 90 DAYS
• Launch our WhatsApp / Discord community and grow a 100+ person superfan playtest cohort.
• Ship a recurring content series that gives us a real voice.
• Run our first creator / fan campaign (fan art, "share your story," or similar).
• Establish a weekly rhythm of user feedback to product change.
YOU MIGHT BE A FIT IF
• You're genuinely in this culture: you can name subgenres, tropes, ships, and the platforms where each fandom lives, because you're a fan yourself.
• You can shoot and edit short-form video yourself (Reels, edits, teasers) and turn a rough idea into something postable without waiting on anyone.
• You've built a community or made content that actually grew / went viral (we'll ask you to show us).
• You move fast, ship weekly, and are comfortable being a voice / face of a brand.
• You want ownership of an outcome, not a to-do list.
• You have range: you can write, run a community, and read a retention chart.
• You treat this description as a starting point, not a boundary. As a founding hire, when something outside this list needs doing, you pick it up and figure it out.
NICE TO HAVE
• Korean or Japanese language ability (Korean especially)
• Prior 0 to 1 / founding or early-startup experience
• Experience with creator programs or AI / roleplay products
This is NOT an agency-managing role, a 9-to-5 content-calendar job, or a role where someone hands you briefs. If that's what you want, this won't be a fit, and that's okay.
COMPENSATION
Cash + ESOPs, founding-team level.
HOW TO APPLY
Head to dreamflux.ai/careers and fill the short form (about 2 minutes). No cover letter needed; it just asks for one link to something you've built (a community you grew or content that went viral) and a few lines on your favorite manhwa / anime / K-drama.
