Role Description The Cloud Architect role at Arrakis Ventures is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The Cloud Architect will design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions that align with client business strategies and consulting recommendations. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing existing technology landscapes, defining cloud architecture blueprints, and guiding infrastructure and integration decisions across applications and platforms. The role involves collaborating closely with consulting teams and client stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical architectures, overseeing implementation by development teams, and ensuring compliance with performance, security, and cost-efficiency standards. The Cloud Architect will also participate in technical reviews, troubleshoot complex cloud issues, and contribute to best practices, templates, and reusable patterns for future engagements.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Solution Architecture and Architecture skills for designing end-to-end cloud and hybrid environments.
- Candidates should possess Infrastructure skills, including experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and networking, security, and scalability concepts.
- Candidates should possess Software Development skills, with proficiency in modern languages, APIs, and automation tools relevant to cloud-native applications.
- Candidates should possess Integration skills to connect cloud services, legacy systems, and third-party platforms using APIs, middleware, and integration patterns.
- Experience with microservices, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines is highly beneficial.
- Solid understanding of cloud security, compliance, cost optimization, and performance tuning is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate technical concepts clearly, and document architectures and standards.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience as a Cloud Architect, Solutions Architect, or similar role in consulting or complex enterprise environments is an advantage.
