Job details:
As a Junior Node.js Developer, you will help build, maintain, and enhance scalable backend applications that power AI-driven platforms, web applications, and enterprise software. You will leverage your programming skills, problem-solving abilities, and understanding of modern backend technologies to develop secure APIs, integrate third-party services, optimize application performance, and contribute to high-quality software solutions.
Your responsibilities may include developing backend services, building REST APIs, integrating databases and external APIs, debugging applications, writing clean and maintainable code, collaborating with frontend and AI teams, and supporting the development of next-generation AI-powered products.
Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain backend applications using Node.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Build secure, scalable, and well-documented RESTful APIs.
• Integrate databases, authentication systems, and third-party APIs.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to deliver seamless end-to-end functionality.
• Assist in integrating AI models and services into web applications.
• Debug, test, and optimize backend services for performance and reliability.
• Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code following industry best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and implement feedback to improve code quality.
• Troubleshoot production issues and assist in resolving bugs efficiently.
• Work with version control systems and contribute to collaborative development workflows.
• Follow project requirements while maintaining high coding and documentation standards.
• Continuously learn and adopt new backend technologies and development practices.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Software Development, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of JavaScript and basic knowledge of TypeScript.
• Good programming, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic understanding of backend development and REST APIs.
• Familiarity with databases and web application architecture.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Prior internship, academic projects, or personal experience with Node.js is preferred but not mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Node.js, Express.js, or NestJS.
• Familiarity with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Redis.
• Basic knowledge of ORMs such as Prisma, Sequelize, or Mongoose.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and third-party services.
• Understanding of authentication methods including JWT and OAuth.
• Familiarity with Docker, Git, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Exposure to AI APIs such as OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, or similar services is a plus.
• Knowledge of WebSockets, queues, caching, or microservices is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to writing high-quality, maintainable code.

Compensation
Projects are compensated based on complexity and duration, with earnings ranging from ₹130/hour to ₹387/hour.
