Watt Wave Energy Private Limited is a deep-tech startup developing next-generation Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) solutions for electric mobility and industrial automation. Our mission is to eliminate charging cables by enabling seamless, efficient, and autonomous wireless charging for Electric Vehicles (EVs), AGVs, AMRs, drones, forklifts, and industrial robotic fleets.
We are looking for a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technology, product development, and engineering organization as we scale from prototype to commercial deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the company's long-term technology vision and product roadmap.
- Lead the development of high-power Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) systems from concept to commercialization.
- Own the architecture and development of power electronics, resonant converters, embedded systems, firmware, communication protocols, and control algorithms.
- Drive system-level engineering, including electrical, mechanical, firmware, and software integration.
- Lead PCB design, hardware validation, EMI/EMC compliance, thermal management, and product reliability testing.
- Develop scalable engineering processes for product development, testing, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
- Build, mentor, and lead a multidisciplinary engineering team.
- Collaborate with customers, OEMs, suppliers, manufacturing partners, and research institutions.
- Drive innovation through patents, technical publications, and new product development.
- Support fundraising activities by presenting technical strategy to investors and partners.
- Ensure products meet international safety, regulatory, and certification standards.
Required Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Power Electronics, or a related field. PhD is an advantage.
- 6+ years of experience in hardware product development, preferably in EVs, industrial automation, renewable energy, or power electronics.
- Experience leading engineering teams and delivering products from prototype to mass production.
- Strong expertise in one or more of the following:
- Wireless Power Transfer (WPT)
- Power Electronics
- Resonant Converter Design
- Embedded Systems
- High-Frequency Magnetics
- Battery Charging Systems
- Control Systems
- Experience with simulation tools such as ANSYS Maxwell, LTspice, MATLAB/Simulink, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer.
- Experience in product certification, manufacturing, and supplier management is preferred.
