We are seeking an experienced Testing Automation Engineer to design, implement, and lead AI-driven testing strategies across enterprise platforms. You will work directly with clients and internal teams to build intelligent, scalable test automation frameworks that leverage modern AI models to accelerate quality assurance and improve software delivery outcomes.
This role is ideal for a technically strong engineer who enjoys client-facing work, leading automation programs end-to-end, and staying at the forefront of AI-powered testing innovation.
Key Responsibilities
AI-Driven Test Automation
- Design, build, and maintain intelligent test automation frameworks using AI/ML models to enhance test coverage, generation, and defect detection
- Leverage AI testing tools and platforms (e.g., Katalon, Playwright, Applitools, or similar) to accelerate automation across UI, API, and performance layers
- Develop and implement automation test scripts that adapt to application changes with minimal manual intervention
- Utilise LLM-based accelerators to improve automation productivity
Client Engagement & Delivery
- Serve as the primary testing automation point of contact for client engagements, translating business requirements into test strategies
- Communicate testing progress, risks, and outcomes clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Build trusted relationships with clients and act as a strategic advisor on quality engineering and AI adoption in testing
DevOps & CI/CD Integration
- Embed automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins
- Implement parallel test execution and cloud-based test grids (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs) for scale
- Monitor test metrics, coverage dashboards, and quality KPIs to drive continuous improvement
- Manage test environments and test data provisioning in collaboration with DevOps and infrastructure teams
Collaboration
- Lead and mentor junior QA engineers and automation developers within project teams
- Drive knowledge sharing, peer reviews, and internal capability building in AI-driven testing practices
- Contribute to Alkemiz’s testing practice development, including tooling evaluations, accelerator assets, and methodology refinement
- Collaborate with developers, solution architects, and product owners to shift quality left throughout the SDLC
Required Skills & Experience
Essential
- 5+ years’ experience in test automation engineering, with at least 2 years in a client-facing or consulting capacity
- Proven hands-on experience with test automation frameworks/tools: Katalon, Playwright, Selenium
- Experience integrating AI tooling into testing workflows — whether AI test generation, visual AI, or intelligent test selection
- Strong command of at least one programming/scripting language: Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C#
- Experience building and managing test automation within CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins)
- Solid understanding of API testing (REST/SOAP), test data management, and testing design patterns (Page Object Model, BDD with Cucumber/SpecFlow)
- Demonstrated ability to define test strategies and lead test automation projects end-to-end
- Proven ability to manage multiple testing projects and clients concurrently
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — comfortable presenting to both technical teams and client executives
Desirable
- Exposure to AI-native testing platforms such as Testim, Applitools, or LLM-powered test tooling
- Experience with performance and load testing tools: JMeter
- ISTQB certification or equivalent quality engineering credentials
