As we continue to develop and scale our HealthTech platform, we are looking for an experienced Lead Developer – Full Stack (Node.js + Flutter) who can combine strong hands-on engineering expertise with technical leadership, architecture ownership, and end-to-end delivery accountability.

Role Overview
As a Lead Developer at SEWB Global Care, you will play a key role in designing, developing, scaling, and maintaining our technology ecosystem across backend, mobile, and cloud environments.
You will take ownership of scalable application development using Node.js for backend systems and Flutter for cross-platform mobile applications, while guiding engineering teams and collaborating closely with product, design, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role for someone who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, making sound architectural decisions, mentoring developers, and transforming product requirements into secure, scalable, and reliable technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of scalable full stack applications using Node.js, Flutter, and modern engineering practices.
- Own backend architecture, REST API development, system integrations, application performance, reliability, scalability, and security standards.
- Lead and contribute hands-on to the development of Flutter applications for Android and iOS.
- Ensure mobile applications are responsive, maintainable, scalable, and built to high-quality engineering standards.
- Drive cloud-native deployment and application operations using AWS services, including compute, storage, databases, monitoring, authentication, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, QA Teams, DevOps Engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical architecture and delivery plans.
- Conduct code reviews, establish coding standards, and promote engineering best practices across the development team.
- Mentor developers and support technical decision-making, estimation, sprint planning, and product delivery.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and continuously improve application performance and reliability.
- Implement best practices across testing, secure coding, release management, monitoring, and system observability.
- Contribute to architectural decisions involving microservices, distributed systems, authentication, authorization, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
Required Technical Skills
Backend Development
Strong hands-on experience with:
- Node.js
- Express.js

Mobile Application Development
Strong production-level experience with:
- Flutter
- Cross-platform Android and iOS application development

Software Architecture & Engineering
Strong understanding of:
- Object-Oriented Programming principles

- Distributed systems
- Clean and maintainable code practices
AWS & Cloud Operations
Strong working knowledge of AWS services and cloud-native application environments, including:
- AWS Cognito
- RDS
- CloudWatch
- API Gateway
- IAM
- CI/CD pipelines
- Cloud deployment and application monitoring
Leadership & Professional Skills
We are looking for someone who:
- Has an ownership mindset and leads engineering initiatives from concept through production delivery.
- Can balance hands-on coding with technical leadership responsibilities.
- Has experience leading, mentoring, and supporting software development teams.
- Can communicate technical concepts clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Is comfortable working in Agile development environments with evolving priorities.
- Can make informed architectural and technical decisions.
- Has strong debugging, problem-solving, performance optimisation, and production support capabilities.
- Is committed to engineering quality, security, scalability, maintainability, and continuous improvement.
Required Experience
The successful candidate should have:
- 7–10 years of relevant software development experience.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Senior Developer, Lead Developer, Technical Lead, or in a similar technical leadership position.
- Proven experience delivering production-grade full stack platforms.
- Strong hands-on experience developing backend applications with Node.js.
- Strong hands-on experience developing production mobile applications with Flutter.
- Experience translating business requirements into technical architecture and sprint execution plans.
- Experience delivering reliable product releases.
- Experience with microservices, authentication and authorization, API integrations, and application performance optimisation.
- Experience mentoring developers, conducting code reviews, and establishing engineering best practices.
Nice to Have
Experience in any of the following areas would be advantageous:
- HealthTech or Healthcare IT platforms
- Distributed system architecture

- AWS cloud cost and performance optimisation

Preferred Educational Qualifications
- B.E. / B.Tech. in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Postgraduate qualifications such as M.Tech. or M.S. are preferred.
- Candidates with equivalent practical experience and a strong track record of successful product delivery will also be considered.
