Role Overview
We are looking for a creative, data-driven Social Media Manager to own and scale our social media presence across platforms in India. This role will be responsible for building brand love, driving engagement, and amplifying brand's positioning as a trusted, rewarding and convenient fintech brand. You will work cross-functionally with product marketing, brand, creative agencies, and customer service teams to deliver a cohesive and impactful social media strategy. This is a high-visibility role offering the opportunity to shape how millions of customers in India experience this brand across digital touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
• Social Media Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy across platforms (Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, Quora, Social Activations) aligned with the brand and business objectives in India.
• Content Planning & Creation: Own the content calendar, ideate and produce engaging content (static, video, reels, stories) that drives awareness, engagement, and brand affinity for the brands products and services.
• Channel Management: Define channel roles, manage day-to-day publishing, community management, and ensure consistent brand voice across all social handles.
• Campaign Amplification: Collaborate with brand and product marketing teams to amplify anchor events (e.g., Prime Day), product launches, and seasonal campaigns through social-first activations.
• Agency Management: Identify, onboard, and manage creative and media agency partners for content production, influencer programs, and paid social amplification.
• Community & Customer Engagement: Build mechanisms to monitor and respond to customer queries and feedback on social media within defined SLAs; partner with customer service teams to automate response workflows.
• Performance & Analytics: Track, analyze, and report on social media KPIs (reach, engagement, sentiment, brand lift); use data to optimize content strategy and inform investment decisions.
• Influencer & Creator Programs: Develop and manage influencer/creator partnerships to extend reach and credibility among target audiences.
• Trend & Platform Intelligence: Stay ahead of social media trends, platform algorithm changes, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for the brand.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with PR, brand, product, and legal teams to ensure alignment and compliance across all social communications.
Basic Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in social media marketing at D2C/startups (non-negotiable)
• Proven track record of managing social media channels for a consumer brand – on client side preferred
• Experience managing creative and media agencies
• Strong understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, YouTube, Reddit), their algorithms, and best practices in the Indian market
• Demonstrated ability to create data-driven content strategies and measure ROI through brand lift studies and engagement metrics
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to craft compelling copy and brand narratives
• Experience with social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite)
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
• MBA or equivalent advanced degree in Marketing or Communications
• Experience scaling social media presence across new platforms (e.g., launching a brand on Instagram/YouTube from scratch)
• Familiarity with paid social media strategy and budget management (₹1 Cr+ annual budgets)
• Experience building automated customer service response mechanisms on social platforms
• Experience working with wide cross-functional teams
