Assistant Engineering Manager
Schedule: Rotational shifts (A/B/C), 6 days/week
Notice Period: Immediate to 1 month
Primary Responsibilities
Engineering Operations
- Develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs for all M&E systems
- Monitor M&E project quality and ensure timely delivery
- Prepare accurate facility management reports
- Manage on-site mechanical, electrical, plumbing installations and civil maintenance
Maintenance & Risk Management
- Create pre-emptive maintenance programs to prevent critical equipment failures
- Prepare and maintain critical spares inventory based on manufacturer recommendations
- Plan maintenance activities with in-house teams
- Monitor equipment performance and address malfunctions proactively
Client Service Delivery
- Provide comprehensive facility, contract, and procurement management for technical services
- Achieve financial targets, KPIs, and service level agreements
- Arrange ad-hoc M&E setups per client requirements
- Serve as primary technical point of contact
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain updated logbooks, checklists, and maintenance schedules
- Ensure regulatory compliance for all engineering operations
- Document best practices and process improvements
Required Qualifications
Education
Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Experience
7+ years in facilities management with hands-on expertise in:
- HVAC systems
- UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply)
- Electrical distribution systems
- Diesel Generators (DG)
- Building Management Systems (BMS)
Technical Skills
- MEP systems operation and maintenance
- Preventive/predictive maintenance methodologies
- CMMS and building automation systems
- Technical drawing interpretation
- Budget and cost management
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Effective communication (technical and non-technical audiences)
- Team leadership and collaboration
- Project management and multitasking
- Client-focused with quality orientation
