Hiring: Senior Switching Engineer | Networking Software-Tope level US based product company
Location: Bangalore, India
Experience: 10-20 Years
We are looking for experienced Switching Engineers with strong expertise in C programming, Linux system software and networking to work on high-performance switching and routing solutions.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
Analyze customer use cases, feature requests and product requirements
Develop architecture and design documents
Design and implement software using C / Go
Develop unit tests and automate testing using Python & CI/CD
Troubleshoot and resolve customer and production issues
Perform code/design reviews and ensure high-quality, serviceable software
Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams
🔹 Required Skills
Strong C programming skills
Linux system software development – multi-core, multi-process & multi-threading
Strong networking and switching software development experience
Knowledge of IPv4/IPv6, VLAN, FDB, RIB/FIB, ARP, VXLAN, GRE, IPsec, ACL, PBR, DHCP & QoS
Experience with routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, PIM
Experience with ASIC-based networking datapath or VPP
Understanding of MAC/PHY, SFP, Ethernet, Copper/Fiber and PoE
Experience debugging customer/production issues
🔹 Good to Have
Go, Python
SONiC
Broadcom ICOS
gRPC, Protobuf, JSON, Redis
Network Security: MACsec, IPsec, NAC, Firewall, IDS/IPS
Senior engineers should be able to work independently and take ownership of complex networking software development.
