About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented professional to lead and strengthen our Deal Placement function within the Merchant Banking Division.The incumbent will play a pivotal role in managing,and executing placement activities for capital market transactions while building long-term relationships with institutional investors, family offices, HNIs, corporate houses,and other market participants.
The role requires a strong understanding of equity capital markets, investor behaviour, transaction execution, and regulatory requirements,coupled with excellent networking and relationship management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Deal Placement
- Lead the placement of Equity Capital Market(ECM)transactions including IPOs, QIPs, Rights Issues, Preferential Allotments, OFS, Block Deals, Pre-IPO Placements and other capital-raising assignments.
- Develop and execute investor outreach strategies to ensure successful placement.
- Coordinate with issuers ,promoters, institutional investors, family offices, HNIs, AIFs, PMSs, brokers, and other intermediaries throughout the transaction lifecycle.
- Work closely with internal execution, legal, compliance, research, and syndication teams to facilitate seamless deal execution.
- Arrange and participate in investor meetings,roadshows,management presentations,and one-on-one discussions.
Investor Relationship Management.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international institutional investors,HNIs,Family Offices, Alternative Investment Funds(AIFs), Portfolio Management Services(PMS), and other capital providers.
- Expand and strengthen the firm's investor network to support future placement opportunities.
Market Intelligence
- Track capital market developments,fundraising trends,sector performance,and investor sentiment.
- Analyse comparable transactions,valuations,pricing trends,and regulatory developments.
- Provide strategic insights to management for transaction positioning and investor targeting.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare investor presentations,placement memorandums,teasers,transaction summaries,and marketing materials.
- Maintain an updated investor database and deal pipeline.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Educational Qualification.
- MBA(Finance),CA,CS,CFA,or equivalent professional qualification will be preferred.
- Experience
- Over 5+ years of relevant experience in Equity Deal Placements - Investor Relationships.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and executing equity fundraising transactions.
Established active network across institutional investors,family offices, HNIs, AIFs, PMSs,
Corporates and market intermediaries will be a significant Pre reavicite.
