Role Description The Design Engineer role at Gaurav Engineering is a full-time, on-site position based in Ahmedabad. The role involves designing and developing plastic processing machinery and related products, collaborating closely with mechanical, electrical, and production teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and updating CAD models and drawings, preparing technical documentation, and supporting prototype development and testing. The Design Engineer will participate in design reviews, optimize designs for performance, manufacturability, and cost, and contribute to continuous improvement and R&D initiatives. The role also requires coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure that designs meet quality, safety, and international standards.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Design Engineering and Product Design skills, with experience in machinery or industrial equipment design.
- Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering expertise, including knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical systems.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar software.
- Candidates should possess strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities, with attention to detail and quality.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in plastic processing machinery, recycling technologies, or related industrial domains will be an added advantage.
- Experience in Sheet Metal part Design, assemblies, and Fabrication drawings.
