Job Description:
- We are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to design, implement, and support modern platform engineering and infrastructure automation capabilities.
- The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in GitHub Enterprise, Terraform, and CI/CD automation, with a strong focus on improving platform reliability, developer experience, security, and operational excellence.
- This role will play a key part in building scalable self-service capabilities, automating infrastructure management, strengthening resilience, and enabling engineering teams to deliver software efficiently and securely.
Key Responsibilities:
Platform Engineering & Automation
- Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
- Develop and manage enterprise-scale automation solutions for provisioning, configuration, and deployment activities.
- Build reusable and standardized infrastructure patterns to improve operational efficiency and consistency.
GitHub Enterprise Administration
- Manage and optimize GitHub Enterprise environments, including repositories, organizations, permissions, integrations, and governance.
- Design and maintain GitHub Enterprise workflows, standards, and best practices.
- Support enterprise integrations and automation within the GitHub ecosystem.
CI/CD Engineering
- Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions.
- Enable automated testing, validation, deployment, and release processes.
- Improve deployment reliability, speed, and traceability through automation and monitoring.
Reliability & Operations
- Improve system reliability, availability, scalability, and performance.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents and implement preventive measures.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements and automation.
- Develop monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions to proactively detect and resolve issues.
Security & Resilience
- Implement security best practices throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
- Support secure authentication and authorization models, including RBAC and application/token-based access controls.
- Contribute to cyber resilience, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Assess and mitigate software supply chain risks and infrastructure vulnerabilities.
Developer Experience
- Drive initiatives to improve developer productivity and self-service platform capabilities.
- Create documentation, standards, and reusable tooling to support engineering teams.
- Partner closely with development, security, and operations teams to enable seamless software delivery.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong hands-on experience with GitHub Enterprise, including:
- Repository management
- Organization administration
- GitHub Actions
- Enterprise integrations
- Governance and access controls
- Advanced practical experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Strong experience designing, building, and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with GitHub Actions in enterprise environments.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and root cause analysis skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in distributed and remote teams.
Desirable
- Experience with cloud platforms such as:
- Microsoft Azure
- Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM), including:
- RBAC
- Token-based authentication
- Application authentication models
- Knowledge of backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and cyber resilience practices, including Cybervault concepts.
- Experience implementing security controls and mitigating software supply chain risks.
- Familiarity with monitoring, observability, and operational excellence practices.
- Experience enabling developer self-service platforms and improving developer experience.
