Are you passionate about building, managing, and optimizing cloud platforms that power modern digital solutions? We are looking for an experienced Platform Support Engineer to help design, deploy, support, and enhance cloud-based infrastructure and applications. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring cloud environments remain secure, scalable, reliable, and high performing while supporting business and technology objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support cloud-based infrastructure and platform solutions.
- Deploy and manage cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies and automation tools.
- Monitor, maintain, and optimize cloud environments and workloads to ensure availability, performance, and security.
- Provision and configure cloud services in alignment with approved architectural standards and business requirements.
- Perform system monitoring, capacity planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and platform issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and deployment standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable and effective technology solutions.
- Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and implementation activities.
- Contribute to cloud cost optimization and resource utilization initiatives.
- Promote best practices across DevOps, DataOps, Agile delivery, and platform operations.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to team members.
- Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements to platform capabilities and operational processes.
- Drive reliability, scalability, and security enhancements across infrastructure and application environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 6 to 8 years of overall professional experience, including at least 5 years supporting cloud-based infrastructure and platform environments.
- Flexibility to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts when required.
- Strong hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure deployment, configuration, and support.
- Good understanding of networking concepts, architecture patterns, and performance optimization strategies.
- Experience with cloud platform services such as virtual networking, load balancing, managed databases, container orchestration platforms, analytics services, and related infrastructure components.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using technologies such as PowerShell and Python.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles, governance, security, and operational best practices.
- Experience building infrastructure solutions that meet scalability, reliability, and security requirements.
- Familiarity with source code management, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps toolchains.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Good understanding of Agile methodologies and delivery frameworks.
- Ability to work effectively within cross-functional and globally distributed teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep expertise in cloud platform services and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
- Understanding of cloud migration, transformation, and modernization strategies.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale environments within fast-paced industries.
- Relevant cloud certifications and exposure to platform engineering practices are advantageous.
