Role Description
Our client is looking for a Windchill Data Migration Architect who will be responsible for end to end ownership of PLM data migration programs into PTC Windchill, covering strategy definition, architecture design, rehearsal execution, production cutover, and validation governance.

Location: Bangalore/Pune/Mumbai/Chennai/Hyderabad/Coimbatore/Noida
Key Responsibilities
- Define overall Windchill data migration strategy, scope, and sequencing. Conduct source‑to‑target mapping workshops with business and IT stakeholders. Finalize migration approach including rehearsals, delta strategy, and cutover plan.
- Assess source PLM systems (Windchill, Agile, Teamcenter, custom systems) and define data mapping rules and identify data conflicts, duplicates, and quality issues.
- Lead end‑to‑end migration using Windchill Bulk Migrator (WBM) through multiple rehearsal migrations (RH‑1 / RH‑2 / RH‑3) and Production migration.
- Define migration validation strategy and KPIs, support and govern business validation cycles post each rehearsal, drive defect resolution, re‑runs, and fix verification, support go‑live, cutover weekend, and hypercare.
- Provide technical guidance to Migration Consultants and Developers, Review and approve migration scripts, SQL transformations, and utilities, Work closely with Functional, CAD, Integration, and Infrastructure teams, Ensure complete migration documentation and knowledge transfer.
Required Skills & Experience
- Typically 10–15+ years experience in PLM, with strong migration focus
- Very strong hands‑on expertise in Windchill Bulk Migrator (WBM)
- Proven experience in multiple end‑to‑end Windchill migration programs
- Deep understanding of:
- Windchill object model and relationships
- Parts, BOMs, Documents, CAD, and Change data
- Lifecycles, versions, and iterations
- Strong SQL skills (Oracle / SQL Server) for large‑volume data analysis
- Experience in Manufacturing / Industrial / Automotive / Medical Devices domains strongly preferred
- At least one non‑Windchill → Windchill migration experience is mandatory
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent client communication and stakeholder management
