Role Description The Career Counselor at FolksPartner is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. The role involves providing one-on-one and group counseling sessions to students and professionals, helping them explore career options, clarify goals, and create actionable development plans. Responsibilities include administering and interpreting career assessments, guiding clients through resume and profile improvement, interview preparation, and job search strategies. The Career Counselor will also conduct workshops, maintain accurate counseling records, collaborate with educational institutions and employers, and stay informed about labor market trends and emerging career paths to offer up-to-date guidance.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Career Counseling and Student Counseling to support diverse clients in their career decisions.
- Experience in Career Development and Career Management to design and implement individualized growth plans.
- Excellent Communication skills, including active listening, clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to explain complex options in accessible terms.
- Relevant educational background, such as a degree in Psychology, Counseling, Human Resources, Education, or a related field.
- Prior experience in academic advising, career services, coaching, or related counseling roles is preferred.
- Ability to work empathetically with individuals from varied backgrounds and maintain confidentiality and professional ethics.
- Comfort with using digital tools and platforms for scheduling, documentation, and career resources.
