Rocket Capital is an investment platform across venture capital, private equity, and private credit in India and Southeast Asia. Our VC strategy backs Indian technology companies — primarily in fintech, media, and gaming where network effects compound — and helps them scale into Southeast Asia.
Fund 1 is fully deployed. We are now building Fund 2 and the team that will take this platform forward for the next decade.
The Opportunity
We're not looking for a spreadsheet-pusher to fill a seat.
We're hiring a Principal — a commercially aggressive, entrepreneurial investor who wants to build a firm, not just work for one. You'll lead transactions, support Fund 2 fundraising, create liquidity from Fund 1, and help Indian portfolio companies cross the bridge into Southeast Asia.
This is a genuine partner-track role with meaningful carry and real ownership.
What You'll Do
- Lead investments end-to-end — sourcing, diligence, thesis-building, term sheets, IC memos, closing, and board work
- Build proprietary deal flow across Indian fintech, media, gaming, and network-effect ecosystems
- Drive SEA expansion for portfolio companies — market entry, local partnerships, GTM, cross-border scaling
- Support Fund 2 fundraising — LP communications, investor meetings, fund materials, and brand-building
- Create Fund 1 liquidity — secondaries, follow-on rounds, strategic exits, and track record development
Who You Are
- 7–9 years of experience across VC, growth investing, startup corp-dev, fintech/gaming operations, or founder background
- You've led or co-led at least 2–3 transactions end-to-end
- Deep in fintech (media/gaming a strong plus); you understand network-effect businesses
- Cross-border experience between India and Southeast Asia — expansion, partnerships, or fund experience
- A strong, active founder and co-investor network in India
- Comfortable being investor-facing — you can defend a thesis and pitch a fund story
- Builder DNA — you want to own the platform, not rent a seat
