Company Description Path-iQ is a digital pathology platform that helps pathologists, laboratories, and researchers move from fragmented, traditional workflows to a unified, digital-first environment powered by artificial intelligence. Role Description This is a remote contract role for a User Experience Designer at Path-iQ. The User Experience Designer will collaborate with product, engineering, and clinical stakeholders to design intuitive, accessible interfaces for digital pathology workflows. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting user research with pathologists and lab teams, translating insights into user journeys and wireframes, creating interactive prototypes, and refining visual design for web-based products. The role also involves testing and iterating on designs based on usability feedback, documenting UX guidelines and patterns, and ensuring a cohesive experience across the platform.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Design Thinking and User Experience (UX) to frame problems, define user flows, and design end-to-end product experiences.
- Candidates should possess skills in User Research to plan and conduct interviews, observational studies, and usability testing with clinical and technical users.
- Candidates should possess skills in Visual Design to create clear, consistent interfaces, layouts, and design systems suitable for complex medical workflows.
- Candidates should possess skills in Prototyping to build low- and high-fidelity prototypes for rapid iteration and stakeholder validation.
- Experience designing SaaS or data-intensive products; healthcare or life sciences domain exposure is a plus.
- Proficiency with modern design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) and basic understanding of front-end capabilities and constraints.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
