Python Full Stack Developer Intern

Stipend: Performance-based, up to ₹6,000 per month
About the Role
Linkup Web is looking for a Python Full Stack Developer Intern who is interested in building real-world web applications, backend systems, APIs, databases, automation solutions, and digital products.
This internship is suitable for candidates who already have a good understanding of Python development and have worked on personal, academic, freelance, or internship projects.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable working with an existing codebase, debugging issues, understanding business requirements, and converting them into reliable technical solutions.
Mandatory Technical Skills
Candidates should have practical knowledge of:
- Python
- FastAPI
- Pydantic
- SQLAlchemy
- Alembic
- SQL & Relational Databases
- REST API Development
- Git & GitHub
You should understand how backend applications are structured, how APIs interact with databases, and how database models and migrations are managed in real projects.
Good to Have
Additional preference will be given to candidates with knowledge or project experience in:
- PostgreSQL
- NoSQL Databases
- Database Design & Data Modelling
- React.js / Next.js
- JavaScript / TypeScript
- Authentication & Authorization
- Docker
- Deployment / Cloud Platforms
- Third-party API Integrations
Experience or interest in AI development will be an added advantage, including:
- AI / LLM API Integration
- AI Agents
- Natural Language Processing (NLP)
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Vector Databases / Embeddings
- AI-powered automation or chatbot development
These AI skills are not mandatory, but candidates who have built working AI/LLM-based projects will be preferred.
What You’ll Work On
During the internship, you may work on:
- Building and maintaining REST APIs using FastAPI
- Writing backend business logic and service workflows
- Designing and managing database models
- Creating and managing database migrations with Alembic
- Authentication, authorization, and API integrations
- Debugging and improving existing applications
- Internal business tools and automation systems
- Client-facing web applications and digital products
- Integrating AI/LLM capabilities where required
- Testing, documenting, and improving application reliability
Who We’re Looking For
We value practical development experience over theoretical knowledge.
You should be able to show at least one or more projects where you have actually written code, built APIs, worked with databases, or implemented backend functionality.
Candidates should be comfortable:
- Reading and understanding existing code
- Debugging independently
- Using Git and GitHub
- Learning new technologies when required
- Taking ownership of assigned tasks
- Working collaboratively with the development team
