Role Description The Accountant role at Maroc Realty LLP is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The role involves managing day-to-day accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, maintaining general ledgers, preparing invoices, tracking accounts payable and receivable, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. The Accountant will prepare financial statements and reports, assist in budgeting and forecasting, ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations, and support internal and external audits. This position will also collaborate with the leadership team to provide financial insights, monitor cash flow, and help establish robust financial controls for a growing real estate startup.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in financial accounting, including general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar), MS Excel, and basic financial analysis tools.
- Knowledge of applicable accounting standards, taxation principles, and compliance requirements relevant to Indian real estate or construction sectors.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry and reconciliation, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (CA, CMA, or equivalent) are an added advantage.
- Must have 1 year of experience
