Product Design Intern — Underwear / Intimate Wear
Woomly | Delhi NCR | Internship (Full-time, on-site)
- Duration: 6 months (with potential to convert to full-time based on performance)
- Location: Delhi NCR, Hybrid
- Stipend: 15,000-20,000/Monthly

About Woomly
Woomly makes reusable, washable leakproof underwear for women with light bladder leaks — protection that looks and feels like normal underwear, not a diaper or a pad. We're a bootstrapped D2C brand with 15,000+ customers, selling through our own website and Amazon India.
We're at a stage where the product needs to go from good to exceptional — and we need someone whose entire focus is making that happen.
What You'll Actually Do
This isn't a "sit in a corner and sketch" internship. You'll be hands-on with the physical product every day.
Fit & Sizing
- Analyse returns and customer complaints data to identify fit issues by size, body type, and age group
- Work with manufacturers to adjust grading, elastic tension, and measurements based on real data
- Help build and refine our size chart so it actually matches real bodies
Fabric & Material
- Source and evaluate fabrics from suppliers — softness, breathability, moisture-wicking, durability
- Run structured wash-cycle tests (tracking how fabric performs at 10, 20, 50, 100 washes)
- Help us back up our product claims with real testing data
New Product Development
- Own the iteration cycle for our upcoming products — test adhesion, absorbency, thickness, comfort etc.
- Prototype and test the panty
- Explore new styles and variations different rises, coverage levels, designs for different age groups
Manufacturing & Quality
- Prepare and maintain proper tech packs (detailed spec sheets with measurements, materials, stitching details, tolerances)
- Coordinate sample iterations with manufacturers track corrections, measure samples against specs
- Reduce inconsistency between production batches
Competitive Intelligence
- Buy and tear down competitor products — fabric weight, layer construction, elastic type, gusset design, absorbent core
- Build a structured comparison of how our product stacks up on every physical dimension
Who This Is For
- You're studying or have recently completed a degree in fashion/textile design, apparel production, or a related field
- You've worked with fabrics and garment construction — even if only in college projects. You understand how a product goes from sketch to tech pack to sample to production
- You care about how a product feels in someone's hands, not just how it looks on a mood board
- You're comfortable going to a manufacturer's unit, checking samples, and pushing back when something isn't right
- You're organised enough to maintain a sample log, track test results, and keep specs updated without being chased
Bonus if you have:
- Experience with intimate wear, activewear, or any product category where fit and function matter more than fashion
- Exposure to fabric testing or quality control processes
- Any experience with lingerie/underwear construction specifically
What We're Not Looking For
- Someone who only wants to design prints and colours. This role is about engineering a better product, not styling it.
- Someone who needs detailed daily instructions. You'll get clear priorities and weekly check-ins, but you'll need to drive your own work between those.
