Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Proposal Engineer role based in New Delhi. The Proposal Engineer will prepare technical and commercial proposals for water and wastewater treatment systems, including reviewing enquiries, understanding client requirements, and developing cost-effective solutions. Responsibilities include preparing drawings, technical documents, and bill of quantities; coordinating with design, engineering, and procurement teams to gather accurate inputs; and ensuring proposals comply with industry standards and company guidelines. The role involves interacting with clients to clarify technical queries, supporting the sales team during pre-bid and post-bid discussions, and updating proposal documentation and databases. The Proposal Engineer is expected to collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, maintain timelines, and contribute to continuous improvement of proposal processes.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, pollution control systems, and related environmental engineering concepts.
- Proficiency in proposal preparation, including technical documentation, cost estimation, and techno-commercial analysis.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, tender documents, P&IDs, and engineering drawings.
- Effective communication and presentation skills for internal coordination and client interactions.
- Good command of productivity tools and basic design software (e.g., MS Office, spreadsheets, and exposure to CAD or similar tools is an advantage).
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, or Civil Engineering (or a related technical field).
- Prior experience in proposals, estimation, or design within water, wastewater, or industrial pollution control sectors is highly beneficial.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work to deadlines in a team-oriented environment.
