Job Roles & Responsibilities
- Build, scale, and optimize backend infrastructure powering distributed compute, cloud services, worker orchestration, and high-performance production systems.
- Develop AI infrastructure including model evaluation systems, agent workflows, reinforcement learning environments, data pipelines, and scalable platform services.
- Design and implement reliable backend services, internal tooling, and developer workflows that improve the creation of high-quality AI training environments.
- Architect scalable distributed systems that translate complex software workflows into reproducible environments for advanced AI model training.
- Collaborate directly with founders to define technical direction, make architectural decisions, prioritize product initiatives, and deliver high-impact platform capabilities.
- Continuously improve system performance, reliability, scalability, and developer productivity across cloud-native infrastructure.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience with strong backend development and distributed systems expertise.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python, cloud platforms (AWS or GCP), distributed computing, scalable backend services, and infrastructure engineering.
- Experience building AI platforms, ML infrastructure, model serving systems, evaluation frameworks, reinforcement learning environments, or agent-based applications is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated success working in fast-paced startups or early-stage engineering teams with significant ownership of architecture and product delivery.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, system design skills, problem-solving ability, and the ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments.
- Background from top engineering institutions or strong competitive programming achievements is a plus but not mandatory.
