Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Store Manager role based in A-rated prime retail space in Gurugram for its upcoming Samsonite Store. The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, staff scheduling, and ensuring the store is consistently clean, organized, and well-merchandised. The role involves leading and coaching the store team to deliver outstanding customer service, achieving sales targets, managing inventory, and monitoring stock levels to prevent shortages or overstock. The Store Manager will handle customer concerns, track key performance indicators, implement retail loss prevention measures, and ensure compliance with company policies and visual merchandising standards. This role also includes coordinating with senior management on promotions, reporting store performance, and supporting hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training of store staff.
Qualifications
- Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction, with the ability to build lasting relationships and handle escalations professionally.
- Store Management experience in a retail environment, including day-to-day operations, staff supervision, and sales performance management.
- Effective Communication skills, both verbal and written, to guide team members, interact with customers, and coordinate with management.
- Knowledge of Retail Loss Prevention practices, including monitoring shrinkage, enforcing procedures, and promoting a culture of compliance.
- Proven leadership and team management abilities, with experience in coaching, performance feedback, and conflict resolution.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail in merchandising, inventory control, and store presentation.
- Comfort with basic retail systems and tools, such as POS software, inventory management, and reporting dashboards.
- Previous experience as an Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager in lifestyle, fashion, or similar retail sectors is preferred.
- Educational background in Business, Retail Management, or a related field is beneficial.
