Role Description The Design Engineer will work on-site in Bengaluru in a full-time capacity, contributing to the design and development of mechanical, electrical, and integrated systems for @NurbsLabs and/or @Nurbs Engineering.
Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and refining product designs, preparing detailed CAD models and engineering drawings, design validation, product development, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
The role involves participating in concept development, conducting design reviews, and supporting prototyping, testing, and iteration cycles for turnkey automation systems and industrial products.
The Design Engineer will also assist in integrating hardware with control systems, optimizing designs for performance and cost, and documenting design decisions and specifications.
Close coordination with project managers, software engineers, and operations teams is expected to deliver robust solutions that meet client requirements and operational constraints.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Design Engineering, Product Design and validation, with experience in developing industrial or automation-related solutions.
- Proficiency in Mechanical Engineering and Computer-Aided Design (CAD), including 3D modeling and creation of detailed technical drawings & validation using FEA/CFD tools.
- Working knowledge of Electrical Engineering principles relevant to system integration, control hardware, and industrial equipment.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related discipline) or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams, communicate technical concepts clearly, and participate in design reviews and problem-solving.
- Familiarity with industry standards, manufacturing processes, and basic tolerance and materials selection for industrial applications.
- Experience with automation systems, test rigs, or hardware-in-the-loop setups is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with attention to detail and commitment to quality, safety, and sustainability.
