Our challenge
As “Principal Consultant, Agentic AI Cybersecurity Engineer” Candidate will work hands-on alongside our cybersecurity engineering and application security teams to build, operate, and advance the agentic AI systems that find, exploit, and remediate vulnerabilities end-to-end across our application and infrastructure estate. Operating at a principal engineer level, candidate will personally direct frontier AI models do discover vulnerabilities in production code, develop proof-of-concept exploits, generate and validate fixes, and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines with safe human-in-the-loop controls. Candidate will also build reusable AI skills, prompts, and tooling that make agentic vulnerability management efficient and scalable across the estate. Candidate will bring deep dual expertise across offensive and defensive security, penetration testing, and software engineering, and apply that fluency to push the boundaries of what is possible with agentic AI in a regulated enterprise environment.
Principal responsibilities
o Work within a team of 4 – 6 people. Most teams are in a single location, but it can be geographically dispersed
o Take a requirement, divide it up into stories and deliver each story iteratively to Production.
o Product support is integral to the role – we have a saying, “the team builds it, the team supports it”. You will be required to triage product issues (bugs, security, performance) by identifying the root causes and resolving them.
o Identify areas of technical debt, ensure a healthy balance of tech debt and new functionality is prioritised and worked on
o For new items you need to design the solution and ensure that it follows technology guidelines and constraints
o Pairing with other members of the team
Requirements (Skills) – Full Stack Developer/Engineer
o Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one modern framework like React or Angular.
o Strong back-end development skills: Node.js, Java, or Python, plus experience building REST APIs.
o Database and deployment knowledge: SQL/NoSQL databases, Git, and basic cloud/DevOps tools (e.g., AWS, Docker, CI/CD).
o Willingness to learn multiple programming languages for both server and front end development
o Demonstratable experience of one language. We predominantly use Kotlin, Javascript and Python
o Knowledge of .Net and C# is beneficial
o Working knowledge of unix
o Must understand databases from a consumer point of view, such as MongoDB, Redis and PostgreSQL
o Knowledge of HTTP APIs e.g. RESTful APIs
o Communication within the team is mainly in English
