Role Description
The Senior Engineer for Canada Opportunities role is a full-time, on-site position based in Canada. The individual in this role will support technical evaluation and documentation for engineering candidates seeking opportunities in Canada, including reviewing profiles, assessing qualifications against Canadian standards, and preparing detailed technical summaries. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with immigration consultants, gathering and validating engineering experience and credentials, and ensuring all technical information aligns with regulatory and employer requirements in Canada. The Senior Engineer will also provide guidance to candidates on optimizing their professional documentation, assist with project descriptions and skills mapping, and contribute to internal knowledge resources on Canadian engineering roles. This position involves close coordination with cross-functional teams to maintain accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in the visa and immigration consulting process.
Qualifications
- Strong engineering background with demonstrated experience in a relevant discipline (e.g., civil, mechanical, electrical, software) and familiarity with international or Canadian engineering standards.
- Proficiency in technical documentation, report writing, and reviewing engineering project details to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with immigration requirements.
- Ability to analyze candidate profiles, interpret professional credentials, and map skills to Canadian job market and regulatory expectations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with consultants, clients, and external stakeholders, and to explain complex technical concepts in accessible language.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
- Experience working in or with immigration, consulting, or international recruitment processes is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or a closely related field; professional certifications or licensure (e.g., eligibility for P.Eng. or similar) are an advantage.
- Comfort working in an on-site, collaborative environment in Bengaluru and using digital tools for document management, communication, and research.
