Summary
UST is looking for an experienced
Senior Software Engineer (Java Microservices) with strong expertise in
Java, Spring Boot, SOA, Microservices, REST APIs, and modern front-end frameworks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing scalable enterprise applications, cloud-native solutions, and microservices-based architectures while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
The Opportunity
As a
Senior Software Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade applications using Java technologies and modern cloud-native practices. You will play a key role in building scalable microservices, mentoring junior developers, and driving engineering excellence.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based Microservices and SOA solutions using Spring Frameworks.
- Build, integrate, and maintain RESTful APIs for enterprise applications.
- Develop responsive and user-friendly web applications using Angular or React.
- Deploy and manage applications across IBM WebSphere, Tomcat, NodeJS, and Nginx environments.
- Develop and support cloud-native applications on AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Implement containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical solution design.
- Lead technical initiatives, mentor junior developers, and promote engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA teams, and business stakeholders throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Experience
What you need:
- 6+ years of experience in Java application development.
- Strong expertise in SOA and Microservices Architecture.
- Experience building enterprise applications using the Spring Framework.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or GCP.
- Experience working in Agile software development environments.
