The Role
We’re looking for a Print Designer who thinks in characters, panels and palettes - someone who grew up sketching in the margins of their notebooks and still hasn’t stopped. You’ll design prints, patterns, characters and product graphics that go on lunchboxes, bottles, bags, plates and everything we haven’t launched yet.
This isn’t a “make the file print-ready” job. You’ll be part of how looks, feels and shows up across 85+ products and counting. You’ll be building worlds: unicorns that fly, rockets that wheeze, dinosaurs that wear sneakers, clouds that gossip. If that sentence made you smile, keep reading.
What you’ll actually do
- Design original prints, patterns and character graphics for our core ranges - bento, bottles, bags, plates and new category launches.
- Build out Brand characters and themes, something new and fresh that appeals to the current generation of kids.
- Translate rough concepts into production-ready print files = repeat patterns, tech packs, colour separations, the works.
- Scout global trends (WGSN, kids’ media, comics, indie illustrators, animation) and bring back ideas that make us go “oh wait, that’s cool”.
- Sit in on kid testing, watch actual children pick their favourite designs, and then quietly go fix your file because a 7-year-old was right.
- Help expand the ecosystem - every new category (room, wear, play) needs new visual worlds, and you’ll be helping build them from Day 1.
What we’re looking for
- A serious love for illustration and comics - not as a hobby you dabble in, but as a thing you can’t help doing.
- A strong sense of colour, composition and balance. You know when a palette is humming and when it’s fighting itself.
- Solid drawing fundamentals - character, form, gesture, line quality.
- Comfort with the usual tools: Procreate, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and use AI to enhance the vision.
- An eye for detail and a willingness to sweat the small stuff like each pixel that is off.
- Curiosity about kids: what they find funny, what they find cool, what they think is “baby stuff” (and why that matters).
Bonus points if you...
- Have your own comic, zine, sticker pack, Instagram art account, or any personal body of work we can get lost in.
- Have worked on repeat patterns, surface design, or anything print-production adjacent.
- Obsess over kids’ brands, animation studios, toy design or picture books and can tell us exactly why a specific frame in a specific film made you cry.
- Understand how design shows up on a product - materials, curves, safe areas, how a character survives being scratched by a fork.
What you’ll get
- A seat on a small, very design-obsessed team where your work goes onto real products, in real schools, carried by real kids.
- The rare chance to help build design IP from scratch - not tweak someone else’s style guide.
- A front-row seat to a brand growing from lunchboxes into a full kids’ ecosystem.
