Job Description
- upport onboarding and enablement of GitHub Enterprise users across the client organization.
- Assist with repository creation, repository structure definition, naming conventions, and standardization.
- Define and support branching strategies aligned to development and release governance practices.
- Configure and manage repository-level access controls, permissions, and governance practices based on client approval.
- Provide user guidance, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for GitHub Enterprise adoption-related queries.
- Promote GitHub Enterprise best practices for collaboration, code management, version control, and governance.
- Support adoption monitoring across repositories, projects, GitHub Enterprise usage, and Copilot enablement, where applicable.
- Coordinate with client stakeholders to prioritize activities
- Provide regular updates on activities completed, effort consumed, risks, dependencies, and pending action items.
- Ensure that all activities remain aligned to the SoW scope and agreed engagement model.
Responsibilities
- Hands-on experience with GitHub Enterprise administration, repository management, and user enablement.
- Strong understanding of Git, repository workflows, branching models, pull request processes, and code review practices.
- Experience in DevOps practices, CI/CD concepts, access control management, and platform governance.
- Ability to define and document repository standards, branching guidelines, and usage best practices.
- Experience supporting users with onboarding, troubleshooting, and adoption of enterprise development platforms.
- Good understanding of governance, compliance-aware repository management, and controlled access practices.
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setup within a part-time allocation.
- Comfortable working across PT and IST time zones.
Qualifications
- Experience supporting GitHub Copilot enablement or adoption tracking.
- Exposure to enterprise DevOps governance and standardized development practices.
- Experience in client-facing support, enablement, or consulting roles.
- Familiarity with effort tracking and weekly governance reporting.
- Prior experience working in a time-and-material engagement model. should work till 12:30AM IST. Can start work at 3PM or 4PM
