Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Software Engineer. The Senior Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain back-end services and APIs that power SBSS PropTech’s core platforms. Daily activities include writing clean, testable code, conducting code reviews, optimizing performance, and collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions. The role involves improving system architecture, ensuring reliability and security, and contributing to technical decisions and best practices. The Senior Software Engineer will also mentor peers, participate in sprint planning, and help continuously improve the development and delivery process.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software architecture.
- Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience building production-grade applications.
- Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs and integration with databases.
- Advanced skills in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and designing modular, reusable components.
- Experience with modern development tools and practices (version control, CI/CD, automated testing).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and microservices or distributed systems is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage priorities, and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
- Previous experience in fintech, proptech, or related domains is a plus; a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
