About The Role
We are seeking a curious, analytically rigorous Strategy Analyst to support the ideation, design, and activation of key organizational initiatives within Tech Data. This role, anchored in our people strategy, encompasses a broad mandate that includes operational excellence, enterprise-wide transformation, and alignment with broader business objectives. The Strategy Analyst will serve a dual purpose: acting as a strategic thought partner to leadership—helping translate ambiguous business challenges into actionable strategies—and functioning as a "Chief of Staff" to orchestrate organizational cadence and ensure cross-functional alignment. This high-visibility position requires an internal consulting mindset, a talent for conceptualizing solutions, managing complex portfolios, and transforming ambiguity into structured, executable plans. The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, demonstrating rigor and creativity whether working on quick strategic pivots or multi-month transformation initiatives.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree, with an MBA or advanced degree preferred. Candidates should have 2-4 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, operational excellence, or a highly analytical business role. Exposure to enterprise transformation or people-focused projects is considered a plus. Strong analytical capabilities are essential, with advanced proficiency in Excel and data structuring, and comfort working with ambiguous or incomplete data sets to identify efficiencies and build systemic solutions. The candidate must demonstrate strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to produce polished, executive-ready materials. Clear and structured communication skills—both written and verbal—are vital, along with high organizational acumen, a proactive approach, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams with limited oversight.
Responsibilities
Strategic Ideation & Problem Solving: Act as a thought partner to leadership by conceptualizing and designing new business and organizational strategies. Participate actively in the "whiteboarding" phase—identifying root causes, structuring complex problems, and proposing innovative solutions. Develop clear, executive-ready narratives and frameworks that communicate complex ideas effectively and support enterprise-level decision making. Adapt rigor and creativity to both quick-turn strategic pivots and long-term transformation initiatives.
Chief of Staff Operations & Organizational Alignment: Serve as the central nervous system for the HR organization, maintaining a pulse on ongoing initiatives, managing operational cadence, and ensuring cross-functional alignment. Act as a connector across departments—facilitating conversations, managing dependencies, and informing leadership on organizational health and project progress. Build and maintain strong relationships across the enterprise, earning trust as a reliable partner capable of moving initiatives forward without formal authority.
Data Analytics & Insight Generation: Gather, synthesize, and interpret both qualitative and quantitative data to underpin new strategies and operational efficiencies. Identify relevant data sources, ask insightful questions, and connect diverse inputs to surface actionable insights that impact financial and operational performance. Shape findings into clear, digestible narratives that articulate the "so what" for senior leaders and support data-driven decision-making.
