Technical Program Manager – Telemetry, BMS & EPMS (APAC)
Location: India (Remote, APAC coverage)
Engagement Type: Contract
Duration: 12 Months (with possibility of extension)

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) to independently own and lead the end-to-end onboarding and integration of lease telemetry and industrial control systems — including Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) — across data centre construction environments in the APAC region.
This role combines fleet telemetry onboarding with data centre controls delivery, and serves as the single point of program leadership across external lease providers, BAS/BMS/EPMS vendors, and internal engineering teams, for all of APAC. The candidate will operate as the primary regional owner, driving delivery across multiple sites and countries without a co-located regional counterpart.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Delivery Ownership: Own end-to-end onboarding of lease telemetry providers and BAS/BMS/EPMS integration and deployment for Microsoft's Data Centres during construction. Manage scope, schedule, risks, dependencies, and milestone delivery across a multi-site, multi-country APAC environment.
Sole Regional Leadership: Serve as the single accountable TPM for all APAC telemetry and controls onboarding activity, coordinating directly across markets without regional deputies.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Act as the primary interface between internal engineering teams and external vendors (lease telemetry providers, BAS/BMS/EPMS integrators). Lead onboarding readiness reviews and execution alignment.
BAS, BMS & EPMS Platforms: Oversee design, engineering, testing, and commissioning of building management and electrical power monitoring systems alongside telemetry platforms.
Governance & Reporting: Drive program governance, status reporting, and escalation management across all APAC workstreams.
KPI Tracking: Monitor telemetry coverage, onboarding progress, and timeline adherence across sites.
Process Improvement: Identify process gaps, standardise onboarding workflows, and build a scalable, repeatable onboarding framework for future APAC sites.
Required Qualifications
5+ years in Technical Program / Project Management, ideally within data centre, controls, or industrial IoT environments
Proven experience delivering large-scale data centre, IoT, or controls programs
Hands-on experience with BMS, EPMS, controls systems, or low-voltage electrical systems
Strong vendor and multi-stakeholder management skills
APAC regional delivery experience strongly preferred, given sole ownership of the region
Familiarity with data centre construction projects and construction-phase commissioning workflows
Technical Expertise
MQTT and device-to-cloud telemetry architectures
Azure Event Hub or comparable event streaming platforms
BAS/BMS system design and integration knowledge
EPMS and low-voltage electrical systems knowledge
Industrial communication protocols: Ethernet/IP, Modbus, MQTT
Data Centre Commissioning (L1–L5 stages) and system validation
Preferred Qualifications
Prior data centre / critical environment delivery experience
Broader telemetry / IoT ecosystem exposure
PMP or equivalent program management certification
Demonstrated multi-country program experience, particularly across APAC markets
Success Criteria
Lease telemetry onboarding completed within agreed timelines
Effective coordination between internal teams and external vendors across all APAC sites
Strong stakeholder alignment and proactive risk mitigation
A scalable onboarding model established and documented for reuse across future sites

This role is critical to accelerating telemetry adoption, improving data centre observability, and standardising BMS/EPMS onboarding processes across the APAC region — with this individual acting as the sole regional driver of that outcome.
