Job Description – Senior ServiceNow App Engine Architect / Lead
Location: Mumbai (Onsite)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Experience: 7+ Years (Minimum 3–4 Years in ServiceNow App Engine Development)
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior ServiceNow App Engine Architect / Lead to design, develop, and implement enterprise-grade applications on the ServiceNow App Engine platform. The ideal candidate should have extensive hands-on experience with Scoped Application Development, Creator Workflows, and ServiceNow App Engine, along with strong expertise in building scalable business applications and integrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using ServiceNow App Engine.
- Build and manage custom applications using Scoped Application Development.
- Develop workflows using App Engine Studio, Flow Designer, and IntegrationHub.
- Configure and customize Service Catalog, UI Builder, Workspaces, and user interfaces.
- Develop Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, ACLs, and Notifications.
- Design and implement REST/SOAP integrations with enterprise applications.
- Develop and maintain server-side and client-side scripts using JavaScript.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and QA teams.
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to ServiceNow development best practices.
- Troubleshoot application issues and optimize platform performance.
- Mentor development teams and provide technical guidance.
Required Skills
- 7+ years of overall IT experience.
- Minimum 3–4 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow App Engine / Creator Workflows.
- Strong expertise in Scoped Application Development.
- Hands-on experience in Custom Application Development using ServiceNow App Engine.

- Service Catalog
- Business Rules
- Client Scripts
- Script Includes
- ACLs
- UI Policies
- Notifications
- Strong JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting experience.
- Experience with REST/SOAP API integrations.
- Exposure to Workspace Development is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Screening Criteria
- Immediate Joiners only.
- Candidates must be currently serving their notice period.
- Candidates not serving notice should not be considered, even if their notice period is only 30 days.
- Excellent communication skills are mandatory.
- Senior ServiceNow App Engine Developers/Leads with strong hands-on technical expertise may also be considered, even without an Architect designation.
Preferred Qualifications
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
- Experience with Creator Workflows and Workspace Development.
- Experience in enterprise-scale ServiceNow implementations.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodology.
