We are hiring a skilled and detail-oriented Software Tester / QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of web and mobile applications. The selected candidate will be on the payroll of [Your Company Name] and deployed full-time to work with the ITS team.
Key Skills & Requirements :
- Minimum Graduate; B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test life cycle, and QA best practices.
- Hands-on experience in: Manual Testing, Functional Testing, Regression Testing, Smoke Testing, Exploratory Testing, UI/UX Testing, Performance Testing, Basic Security Testing
- Experience creating and maintaining test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test reports.
- Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Appium, or similar frameworks.
- Knowledge of API testing using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or REST Assured.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, web services, and backend integrations.
- Basic knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java for automation testing.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and participation in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of version-control tools such as Git will be preferred.
- ISTQB or any relevant software testing certification will be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, debugging, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering quality software.
Key Responsibilities :
- Understand project requirements and prepare detailed test plans, test cases, and testing strategies.
- Perform manual and automated testing across web, mobile, and backend applications.
- Validate application functionality, usability, performance, compatibility, and security.
- Conduct regression, smoke, exploratory, and integration testing before releases.
- Identify, document, track, and retest defects in coordination with developers and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for critical and repetitive test scenarios.
- Perform API testing and validate application data, response codes, and integrations.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings and work closely with developers, designers, product managers, and business teams.
- Maintain test documentation, reports, test evidence, and defect logs.
- Support release testing, post-deployment validation, and continuous quality improvement.
Work Details :
- Working Days: Monday to Saturday
- Working Hours: 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM
- Location: Mumbai
