Role Description The Quality Assurance Manager will oversee the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of QA processes across software development and delivery teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining test strategies, reviewing requirements and specifications for testability, supervising test design and execution, and ensuring adherence to quality standards and certifications. The role involves leading QA engineers, coordinating defect management and root-cause analysis, and partnering with product, development, and operations teams to prevent issues and enhance product reliability. The manager will also establish metrics and reports to track quality performance, drive process improvements aligned with AS9100, ISO 9001, and CMMI practices, and support internal and external audits. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Bengaluru.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in software quality assurance, including test planning, test case design, regression testing, and defect management.
- Proven experience with QA methodologies and frameworks, such as manual and automated testing, integration and system testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Experience working within or managing quality systems aligned to standards like ISO 9001, AS9100, or CMMI, including documentation and audit readiness.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (development, product management, operations) to ensure quality is embedded throughout the lifecycle.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in mentoring, coaching, and managing QA teams, with a focus on performance and continuous learning.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in root-cause analysis and data-driven process improvement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to present quality metrics and findings to stakeholders at different levels.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related discipline; advanced certifications in quality or testing (e.g., ISTQB, Six Sigma, CSQA) are an advantage.
- Experience in one or more of the company’s core domains (banking, manufacturing, education, aerospace) is highly desirable.
