Role Description The Design Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. This role involves developing designs for fixtures and related products, creating detailed 3D models and drawings, and ensuring designs meet performance, safety, and manufacturability requirements. The Design Engineer will collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams, production staff, and quality personnel to refine concepts, validate designs, and support prototyping and testing. Daily responsibilities include preparing CAD models, updating design documentation, resolving design issues, and supporting continuous improvement in product design and processes. The role also requires effective communication with internal stakeholders to ensure timely project execution and alignment with customer specifications.
Qualifications
- Strong Design Engineering and Product Design skills, including the ability to translate requirements into practical, detailed designs.
- Proficiency in Mechanical Engineering principles, with experience in materials, manufacturing processes, and structural analysis.
- Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling, drafting, and design revisions.
- Understanding of Electrical Engineering fundamentals relevant to fixture design and integration with electrical components.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, standards, and specifications, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective problem-solving skills, with the capacity to analyze design challenges and propose feasible solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional engineering and production teams.
- Relevant engineering degree or diploma (Mechanical, Design, or related field); prior experience in fixture or product design is an advantage.
