About the Company
We are a technology company building a next-generation, AI-Native Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform
Position Summary
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will be a founding member of the leadership team and will be responsible for defining and executing the company's overall technology strategy.
The CTO will establish the technical vision, system architecture, engineering culture, cloud strategy, cybersecurity framework, AI roadmap, and software development standards while building a high-performing engineering team capable of delivering a scalable enterprise ERP platform.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Strategy
- Define the company's technology vision and long-term roadmap.
- Select the technology stack, architecture, and development frameworks.
- Drive innovation through cloud, AI, automation, and modern engineering practices.
System Architecture
- Design a secure, scalable, cloud-native ERP architecture.
- Define application, database, integration, API, and infrastructure standards.
- Ensure high performance, reliability, and future scalability.
Engineering Leadership
- Build and lead the software engineering organization.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing technical teams.
- Establish coding standards, engineering best practices, and development processes.
Cloud & Security
- Define cloud deployment strategy (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Establish cybersecurity policies, disaster recovery, monitoring, and infrastructure standards.
- Ensure the platform follows enterprise-grade security practices.
AI & Product Innovation
- Lead the adoption of Artificial Intelligence across the ERP platform.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend build-versus-buy decisions.
- Drive continuous product innovation and technical excellence.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Product Management, Business Analysts, UX teams, and client stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions.
- Provide technical leadership during client discussions and implementation planning.
Deliverables During the First Six Months
The CTO will be expected to deliver:
- Enterprise technology roadmap
- Overall system architecture
- Cloud and infrastructure strategy
- Security framework
- AI strategy and roadmap
- Engineering standards and coding guidelines
- Development environment and CI/CD pipeline
- Infrastructure and DevOps plan
- Engineering hiring plan and organization structure
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 15+ years of software engineering experience, including leadership of enterprise software teams.
- Proven experience designing large-scale SaaS, ERP, or enterprise applications.
- Strong expertise in cloud platforms, microservices, APIs, DevOps, cybersecurity, and modern software architecture.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams from product conception through delivery.
- Knowledge of AI-enabled enterprise applications is highly desirable.
- Experience in maritime, logistics, shipping, or asset-intensive industries will be an advantage.

Screening Criteria
