Role Description
The Head of Department Business Administration is responsible for providing strategic and academic leadership to the Business Administration department in a part-time, remote capacity. This role includes overseeing curriculum development, ensuring the quality and relevance of courses, and coordinating teaching activities and assessments. The individual will mentor and support faculty members, contribute to academic planning, and promote innovative teaching and learning practices. The Head of Department will also engage in departmental budgeting and resource planning, collaborate with other academic units, and support research and community engagement initiatives aligned with the university’s mission.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Business Administration and Business Management, with demonstrated experience leading academic or professional teams.
- Advanced Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret data, evaluate program outcomes, and make evidence-based decisions.
- Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and external stakeholders in a remote environment.
- Solid understanding of Finance principles relevant to departmental planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Relevant postgraduate degree in Business Administration, Management, or a closely related field.
- Experience in higher education leadership, curriculum development, and quality assurance is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and use digital collaboration and learning tools effectively.
