Job Purpose
The Middleware Development Engineer is responsible for the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of the organization's middleware and integration platforms, including IBM API Connect (APIG), IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE), IBM MQ, Kong API Gateway. The role focuses on building secure, scalable, and high-performing API and integration solutions, developing reusable integration components, implementing middleware best practices, and driving platform modernization through automation and continuous improvement. The engineer collaborates with application, infrastructure, security, and architecture teams to deliver reliable enterprise integration services that support business-critical applications. As the highest level of technical escalation, the role also provides Level 3 support for complex production issues that cannot be resolved by Level 1 and Level 2 support teams, performing detailed root cause analysis and implementing permanent fixes to improve platform stability, performance, and resilience. Knowledge of complete application suite & architecture, like frontend (web , mobile App), integration layer, backend components
Knowledge & Experience
Qualifications skills
- 5-8 years of Experience, Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a agile and fast paced team
