Role Description The Senior Geotechnical Engineer will lead and manage geotechnical projects, including planning and supervising site investigations, analyzing soil and rock data, and preparing technical reports and recommendations. Daily responsibilities include assessing ground conditions, designing foundations and earth-retaining structures, reviewing engineering geology information, and coordinating with structural, civil, and project management teams. The role involves mentoring junior engineers, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards, and contributing to proposals and client presentations. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Ahmedabad, with a mix of on-site project work, office-based design and analysis, and some work-from-home flexibility.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Site Investigation and Engineering Geology for planning, supervising, and interpreting field and laboratory investigations.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Soil and Geotechnical Engineering for soil characterization, stability analysis, and ground improvement assessment.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Foundation Design for shallow and deep foundations, retaining systems, and related geotechnical structures.
- Proficiency in geotechnical analysis software (e.g., PLAXIS, GEO5, or equivalent) and standard design tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering; a Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline is preferred.
- Several years of relevant geotechnical experience, including leadership on projects and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong technical report writing, data interpretation, and communication skills, with the ability to clearly present findings to clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work safely on construction and investigation sites, manage multiple projects, and adapt to a hybrid work arrangement in Ahmedabad.
