Role Description The Sales Engineer will work full time on-site in the Greater Kolkata Area, combining technical expertise with customer-facing responsibilities. Day-to-day tasks include understanding client requirements, preparing and presenting technical proposals, and demonstrating how solutions meet customer needs. The role involves coordinating with internal engineering teams, providing pre- and post-sales technical guidance, and supporting the sales process from lead qualification through order closure. The Sales Engineer will conduct site visits, respond to technical inquiries, and assist with product selection, pricing, and documentation. This position also requires maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, identifying new business opportunities, and contributing feedback to improve products and services.
Qualifications
- Strong Sales Engineering and Technical Support skills to understand customer requirements and translate them into practical engineering solutions.
- Proficiency in Sales and Customer Service to manage the sales cycle, handle inquiries, and maintain positive, long-term client relationships.
- Excellent Communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Degree or diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent practical experience in an engineering or industrial environment.
- Ability to work on-site, conduct regular client meetings and site visits in the Greater Kolkata Area, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and comfort with technical documentation, proposals, and basic commercial terms.
- Experience with industrial equipment, engineering products, or similar technical sales roles is an advantage.
- Basic proficiency with office productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentations, email) and willingness to learn new technologies and tools.
