Betterpik is an AI-powered job-search and recruiting platform — candidates find and track jobs, resumes get parsed and tailored with AI, and lifecycle emails and paid subscriptions run on top. We're early-stage, fast-moving, and small: our team owns the whole path from idea to production, across every layer of the stack.
This is a stack-focused role. We care that you know — or can quickly get productive in — the specific technologies below, across the whole product, not just one feature area. Tell us where you are on the stack and we'll tailor the role to match.

💼 WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Ship features end to end — React/Tailwind UI → Fastify endpoints → Prisma/PostgreSQL — and integrate with AI, notifications, and payments services
- Own your changes through the pipeline: write, get reviewed, watch GitHub Actions deploy to dev and prod, confirm it's healthy
- Improve reliability and performance as we scale (job feed, database load, caching)
- Help keep dev/prod environments and infrastructure consistent and maintainable
✅ WHAT YOU SHOULD ALREADY KNOW
- TypeScript/JavaScript and modern React basics (components, state, hooks, data-fetching)
- Solid programming fundamentals — you can read code you didn't write, debug it, reason about it
- Git basics (branch, commit, push, open a PR)
- At least the beginnings of backend work: an HTTP/REST API and a relational database (PostgreSQL ideally)
⭐ STRONG PLUS
- Backend depth: Node.js + Fastify, Prisma, Redis, Zod, Jest
- Python — opens up our FastAPI AI service (resume parsing/tailoring, GLiNER, Document AI, OpenAI)
- AWS, Docker/docker-compose, GitHub Actions, IaC (Pulumi or transferable Terraform)
- Clerk, Stripe/Razorpay, Sentry, PostHog
- TailwindCSS, Radix/shadcn, TanStack Query
The depth we expect scales with the role: for full-time, we'll lean on your "already comfortable" list being genuinely strong plus several "plus" items landing. For an internship, fundamentals + real curiosity about these tools is what matters most.
