About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Technical Lead – Software Engineering to join our dynamic team in Mangalore. This role demands a seasoned professional with a minimum of five years of hands-on software development experience, particularly in Python, microservices, and cloud-based architectures. The successful candidate will take ownership of the entire software development lifecycle, from design and development to deployment and maintenance, ensuring adherence to best practices, security standards, and performance benchmarks. As a leader, you will mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and collaborate closely with stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions. Your expertise will be instrumental in optimizing our systems, integrating advanced AI models, and supporting our continuous delivery pipeline to ensure our platform remains at the forefront of legal data technology.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. A strong foundation in software development principles, combined with extensive experience in Python programming, is essential. Proven leadership skills, including mentoring and guiding at least two developers, are required. Familiarity with Agile methodologies, SDLC best practices, and modern development workflows is critical. Candidates should have hands-on experience with Python frameworks such as Django and Flask, microservices architecture, and cloud services like AWS. Knowledge of AI Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and integrating API-driven models like OpenAI and Claude will be highly advantageous. Additionally, expertise in performance profiling, code optimization, and building rapid prototypes through Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) using open-source frameworks is necessary. Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment are also key qualifications.
Responsibilities
Oversee and enforce adherence to SDLC best practices, ensuring comprehensive documentation and streamlined development workflows.
Lead and mentor a team of three or more developers, providing technical guidance, conducting code reviews, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including the Technical Lead and Manager, to finalize design documents such as wireframes, database schemas, pseudocode, and architectural diagrams.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable application architectures, including microservices, cloud infrastructure, and containerized deployments using Docker.
Optimize application performance, security, and maintainability by implementing best coding practices and conducting thorough code reviews.
Support CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps practices, and ensure security compliance for seamless deployment and operation.
Manage technical debt, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement improvements to enhance system efficiency.
Execute time-sensitive Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) utilizing open-source frameworks and diverse technology stacks to validate innovative solutions rapidly.
Ensure robust production monitoring, scalability, and resource optimization for deployed applications to maintain high availability and reliability.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies, especially in AI and cloud computing, to incorporate innovative features into our platform.
