Role Purpose
The Senior Implementation Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for leading infrastructure readiness, environment assessment, security alignment, connectivity validation, compliance verification, and operational readiness activities across customer implementations of products and solutions.
The role serves as the implementation infrastructure lead, ensuring customer-specific infrastructure requirements, security controls, environment configurations, connectivity dependencies, data handling requirements, and operational standards are aligned with platform architecture and implementation requirements throughout the implementation lifecycle.
Working closely with Implementation Architects, Program Managers, Business Analysts, DevOps Engineers, Customer Infrastructure Teams, Security Teams, Product Teams, and Support Teams, the Senior Implementation Infrastructure Engineer drives infrastructure readiness, security compliance, environment governance, operational preparedness, and successful customer go-lives.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead infrastructure readiness and environment assessment activities across multiple concurrent customer implementations.
· Conduct customer infrastructure discovery sessions to understand hosting models, network architecture, security controls, identity management frameworks, operational processes, and compliance requirements.
· Assess customer environments against deployment, integration, security, and operational requirements.
· Define and maintain infrastructure readiness standards, environment onboarding processes, and implementation governance practices.
· Collaborate with customer infrastructure, architecture, and security teams to establish required connectivity, access controls, and operational dependencies.
· Support implementation and deployment readiness for Camunda workflows, FEEL business rules, Apache Camel integrations, form.io forms, n8n automation workflows, APIs, and platform components.
· Review and validate customer environment readiness across Development, QA, UAT, Staging, and Production environments.
· Define and document infrastructure prerequisites, deployment dependencies, security requirements, and operational readiness criteria.
· Coordinate connectivity setup activities including API access, DNS configurations, SSL certificates, and identity federation requirements.
· Partner with customer security teams to validate authentication, authorization, encryption, audit logging, access management, and compliance requirements.
· Support implementation of Single Sign-On (SSO), Identity Provider (IdP) integrations, role-based access controls, and enterprise security standards.
· Identify infrastructure, security, compliance, and operational risks impacting implementation timelines and customer go-live readiness.
· Lead production readiness reviews, cutover planning, go-live support, and hyper-care activities.
· Troubleshoot complex environment, connectivity, security, access management, and deployment readiness issues through hands-on analysis and coordination.
· Define implementation monitoring, operational validation, readiness verification, and support transition practices.
· Create and maintain infrastructure assessment documents, environment readiness reports, security requirement documents, operational runbooks, and go-live readiness documentation.
· Mentor Infrastructure Engineers and provide technical leadership across implementation projects.
· Collaborate with Product, Engineering, DevOps, QA, Security, and Support teams to continuously improve implementation readiness processes and operational efficiency.
Required Skills & Experience
· Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
· 10–12 years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Technical Implementation, Solution Delivery, Platform Engineering, Enterprise Software Implementations, or Customer-Facing Technical Consulting roles.
· Good experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain.
· Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure, application deployment architectures, and environment management practices.
· Experience conducting infrastructure, security, and operational readiness assessments for enterprise software implementations.
· Experience working directly with customer infrastructure, security, architecture, and operations teams.
· Strong understanding of enterprise networking concepts including VPNs, DNS, firewalls, load balancing, SSL/TLS certificates, and secure connectivity models.
· Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM), Single Sign-On (SSO), OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML, and role-based access controls.
· Experience supporting multi-tenant SaaS platforms and enterprise workflow solutions.
· Experience supporting Apache Camel or similar integration implementations.
· Strong understanding of JSON, JavaScript, REST APIs, integration architectures, and configuration-driven platforms.
· Experience with cloud-hosted application environments, including Azure or similar cloud platforms.
· Experience supporting customer onboarding, production rollouts, go-live activities, and post-production stabilization.
· Experience in security, compliance, operational governance, and risk management practices.
· Strong communication, stakeholder management, facilitation, and leadership skills.
· Proven experience working with insurance carriers and clients across North America or Europe.
Desired Skills
· Exposure to Kubernetes and containerized application environments.
· Understanding of CI/CD processes, deployment automation, and DevOps practices.
· Experience supporting SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, or similar compliance frameworks.
· Experience conducting security reviews, architecture reviews, and operational readiness assessments.
· Experience supporting AI-enabled workflow automation, intelligent document processing, or data-driven solutions.
· Experience with monitoring, observability, and operational health management tools.
