Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Mould Design professional based in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The role involves designing and developing moulds for pulp and paper machinery components using CAD tools, ensuring designs meet performance, manufacturability, and safety standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include interpreting technical requirements, preparing detailed drawings and 3D models, and collaborating with production, R&D, and quality teams to refine designs. The role also requires conducting design-related research, performing design reviews, and supporting tooling optimization to improve efficiency and product quality. The Mould Design professional will document design specifications, support prototyping and testing, and contribute to continuous improvement of design processes.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and related design software for mould and mechanical component design.
- Strong Graphic Design and Graphics skills for clear technical visualization, layout, and presentation of design concepts.
- Background in Architecture or mechanical/industrial design, with the ability to translate structural and functional requirements into practical mould designs.
- Research skills to analyze materials, manufacturing processes, and industry best practices for mould and tooling development.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Tool & Die Making, or a related technical field.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes such as casting, machining, and finishing, preferably within heavy machinery or industrial equipment.
- Knowledge of tolerances, GD&T, and standards relevant to mould and component design.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in the pulp and paper machinery sector or process industries is an advantage
