Job Description – Safety Officer
Work Location: Al Taweelah & KEZAD, Abu Dhabi
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Safety Officer with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a process plant or oil & gas field environment. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment and maintaining compliance with HSE standards and site safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Monitor Permit to Work (PTW) and high-risk activities.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and safety awareness sessions.
- Monitor hot work, confined space, work at height, lifting, excavation, and other critical activities.
- Conduct Risk Assessments and JSA/JHA.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses and prepare reports.
- Ensure proper PPE usage and adherence to site safety procedures.
- Support emergency response, drills, and safety initiatives.
- Monitor contractor compliance with HSE requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Safety Officer/HSE Officer.
- Experience in a process plant, refinery, petrochemical facility, or oil & gas field is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of industrial and oil & gas safety practices.
- Good understanding of PTW, Risk Assessment, JSA/JHA, and Incident Investigation.
- Relevant HSE/Safety certifications will be an advantage.
- Strong communication and site-monitoring skills.
Work Location: Al Taweelah & KEZAD, Abu Dhabi
- Industry Preference: Oil & Gas / Process Plant / Refinery / Petrochemical / Industrial Projects.
