Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Rajasthan, India, for a Product Development Textile Home Furnishings professional. The role involves developing new home furnishing products, including conceptualizing designs, selecting fabrics, and coordinating with production teams to ensure feasibility and quality. Responsibilities include conducting market and trend research, analyzing customer preferences, and translating insights into commercially viable product concepts. The role requires close collaboration with R&D, merchandising, and sales to manage product lifecycles, optimize assortments, and support pricing and positioning decisions. The professional will prepare product specifications, maintain documentation, liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders, and monitor performance of launched products to guide future development.
Qualifications
- Strong Market Research and Analytical Skills to identify trends, assess customer needs, and evaluate product performance.
- Experience in Research and Development (R&D) for textiles or home furnishings, including prototyping and testing new materials or designs.
- Product Management skills to oversee concept-to-launch activities, manage product lifecycles, and coordinate cross-functional inputs.
- Effective Communication skills for collaborating with design, production, sales teams, and external partners.
- Educational background in Textiles, Fashion Design, Home Furnishings, Product Design, or a related field.
- Knowledge of textile materials, weaving or printing processes, and quality standards relevant to home furnishings.
- Proficiency in basic design and documentation tools; familiarity with textile CAD software is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
