About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Project Manager specializing in either .NET or Java technologies to oversee and lead enterprise software development projects within the Banking and Financial Services domain. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of complex projects, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to quality standards, and alignment with organizational goals. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and strong project management skills to coordinate cross-functional teams, liaise with stakeholders, and ensure project success in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in managing large-scale enterprise applications.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, or PMI-ACP are preferred, demonstrating a solid foundation in project management methodologies. Candidates should have over 10 years of overall IT experience, with at least 3-5 years in technical project management roles. Proven experience managing enterprise-grade applications, particularly within the banking or financial services sector, is highly desirable. A strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), application architecture, and system integration is essential. Familiarity with relational databases like SQL Server or Oracle is also required.
Responsibilities
The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to managing the end-to-end delivery of enterprise applications involving Angular frontend and .NET or Java-based backend technologies. The role involves ensuring compliance with project management standards, development best practices, and regulatory requirements pertinent to the banking sector. The candidate will own project scope, timelines, budgets, and quality metrics, proactively identifying and mitigating risks and issues. They will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, clients, architects, developers, and QA teams to facilitate seamless project execution. Leading Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives will be integral to the role. Additionally, the project manager will provide technical guidance to development teams, prepare status reports, dashboards, and executive summaries for senior leadership, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
