Role Description The Facade Designer will be responsible for developing detailed facade designs and shop drawings for a range of building projects. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with architects, structural engineers, and project managers to translate design concepts into technically sound facade solutions, including glazing and cladding systems. The role involves reviewing specifications, conducting feasibility checks, coordinating with manufacturing and installation teams, and ensuring compliance with safety, performance, and quality standards. The designer will also support design revisions, resolve technical issues on site, and contribute to continuous improvement of design processes and standards. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Delhi locations.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in CAD and relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) for facade detailing is a must.
- Strong facade design skills, including experience with Facade and Facade Design for commercial and institutional buildings.
- Ability to develop accurate Shop Drawings and technical documentation for fabrication and installation.
- Knowledge of cladding systems and materials, with practical experience in Cladding design and detailing.
- 5-6 years of hands-on experience with Glazing systems, including performance considerations and integration with structural elements.
- Understanding of building codes, structural considerations, thermal performance, and water/air tightness related to facades.
- Diploma or degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams on site.
- Good communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
