About the RoleWe are looking for a Chief Platform & Cloud Architect to define and lead the cloud platform that powers a growing portfolio of enterprise SaaS products.
This is not a traditional Cloud Architect role focused on a single application. You will be responsible for building and governing the cloud foundation across multiple products, engineering teams, and environments.
You will own AWS platform architecture, Landing Zones, cloud governance, platform engineering, security, observability, reliability engineering, FinOps, and AI-powered cloud operations.
The ideal candidate has built enterprise-scale cloud platforms, established Platform Engineering practices, implemented Infrastructure as Code, and introduced AI-driven operational automation that improves reliability, developer productivity, security, and cloud efficiency.

What You'll DoCloud Platform Strategy & Architecture- Define and own the enterprise AWS cloud strategy across multiple SaaS products.
- Design and govern AWS Landing Zones using AWS Organizations, Organizational Units (OUs), AWS Control Tower, and Service Control Policies (SCPs).
- Build secure, scalable, multi-account cloud environments for Development, QA, Staging, Production, and Internal Engineering.
- Define enterprise-wide cloud governance, architecture standards, and engineering best practices.
- Design highly available, fault-tolerant, and disaster-resilient cloud platforms capable of operating at organizational scale.
- Standardize Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and AWS CDK to ensure repeatable, secure, and version-controlled infrastructure deployments.
Platform Engineering- Build and evolve an enterprise Platform Engineering capability.
- Design and implement Internal Developer Platforms (IDP), Golden Paths, and self-service infrastructure.
- Improve Developer Experience (DevEx) through reusable platform services and automation.
- Build standardized CI/CD pipelines and cloud provisioning frameworks.
- Define reusable cloud architecture patterns that accelerate engineering teams while maintaining governance.
Cloud Infrastructure & NetworkingArchitect and optimize enterprise cloud infrastructure across services including:

Security & Cloud Governance- Define enterprise security architecture across cloud infrastructure, applications, and data.
- Implement IAM least-privilege access models and Zero Trust principles.
- Manage encryption, secrets management, and secure service-to-service communication.
- Establish continuous compliance through AWS Config, CloudTrail, Security Hub, GuardDuty, and automated policy enforcement.
- Drive governance standards across all AWS accounts and environments.
Reliability Engineering & ObservabilityOwn the organization's cloud reliability strategy by implementing:
- Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices
- Service Level Indicators (SLIs)
- Service Level Objectives (SLOs)
- Error Budgets
- Production Readiness Reviews
- Operational Runbooks
- Disaster Recovery Planning
- High Availability Architecture
Build and operate a modern observability platform using:
- Prometheus

Drive continuous improvements in platform reliability, availability, and operational efficiency.
FinOps & Cloud Cost Optimization- Lead enterprise cloud cost optimization initiatives.
- Implement tagging standards and cloud governance policies.
- Optimize infrastructure through rightsizing, Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, and capacity planning.
- Build visibility into cloud utilization and operational efficiency.
- Partner with engineering teams to improve cloud economics without compromising reliability.

What We're Looking ForExperience- 12+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Cloud Infrastructure.
- Proven experience designing and operating enterprise-scale AWS platforms.
- Hands-on experience implementing AWS Landing Zones, AWS Organizations, AWS Control Tower, and Service Control Policies (SCPs).
- Strong background building Platform Engineering capabilities and Internal Developer Platforms (IDP).
- Experience managing cloud environments across Development, QA, Staging, and Production.
- Deep understanding of enterprise cloud security, governance, networking, and compliance.
- Strong experience building enterprise observability platforms.
- Experience driving cloud modernization and infrastructure transformation initiatives.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong hands-on technical capability with architecture, automation, and cloud engineering.
